Menstrual Health: Managing Cramps and Heavy Flow
Understanding the Process Menstruation ( monthly female bleeding
It is a natural human bodily process which occurs in females (women and girls), during their reproductive age ( commonly 12 to 45 years ). It involves the shedding / breaking of the uterine internal layer known as endometrium, which occurs when there is no pregnancy happened by fertilization of an female egg and male sperm. This shedding ( bleeding ) often leads to discomfort and sometimes severe pain, known as menstrual cramps. furthermore, some females experience heavy bleeding during their menstrual flow.
Management of Menstrual Cramps / Pain
It can be a prominent source of discomfort.
In following few tips are suggested for reliving them:
Over-the-Counter Pain Killers: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like tablet ibuprofen / syrup ibuprofen or naproxen can help reduce the pain and inflammation.
Hot Therapy: Applying heat to your lower abdomen can relax muscles and reduce cramps. Use a hot water bottle, heating pad, and can be taken warm bath.
Exercise: Regular physical activities can help minimize mental stress and improve blood circulation, which can reduce cramps. but , must avoid hard workouts during the first days of bleeding period.
Relaxation Techniques: Mental stress can increase menstrual cramps. Practice relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, Pray to God or deep breathing to reduce stress.
Dietary Changes: You can find relief by avoiding certain special foods, such as alcohol, caffeine, and saltash foods.
Coping with Heavy Bleeding
Heavy bleeding during menstrual cycle can led to difficulties and sometimes upsetting.
