1. Fetal Movement

• Scientifically, fetal movement starts as early as 7–8 weeks gestation, but it's visible only on ultrasound.

• Mothers begin to feel movements (known as quickening) between 16–20 weeks, depending on whether it’s a first or later pregnancy.

2. Drinking Amniotic Fluid

From about 16 weeks, the fetus begins to swallow amniotic fluid, which:

• Conditions the gastrointestinal tract

• Stimulates lung development

• Trains the urinary system

3. Fetal Urination (Micturition)

• Around 18–20 weeks, the fetal kidneys begin producing urine, which is excreted into the amniotic sac.

• The fetus swallows this fluid again in a closed cycle, helping organ development.

4. Source of Nutrition & Waste Removal

The fetus does not get nutrients from amniotic fluid. All nutrition, oxygen, and waste exchange happens through the placenta and umbilical cord.

5. Facial Expressions of the Fetus

Modern 4D ultrasound reveals fetal facial expressions like:

• Smiling

• Frowning

• Yawning

• Blinking

• Grimacing

• Sucking and swallowing

These are mostly seen in the third trimester, starting around 28–30 weeks.

6. Hearing Sounds

The fetal auditory system starts developing by 18 weeks and becomes more active by 25–26 weeks. The baby can hear:

• Mother’s voice and heartbeat

• Environmental sounds

• Qur’anic recitation and music

7. Islamic Perspective: The Soul (روح)

Islam teaches that the روح (soul) is breathed into the fetus at 120 days (17 weeks). This marks the beginning of true human life — with identity, accountability, and spiritual status.

Islamic References:

• Qur'an — Surah Al-Isra (17:85):

"And they ask you about the soul. Say: The soul is of the affair of my Lord."

• Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2643:

"After 120 days, the angel breathes the soul into the fetus..."

Summary

The fetus performs amazing activities — moving, drinking, urinating, making facial expressions, and hearing — all before birth. These are signs of Allah's perfect creation. While science explains physical development, Islam completes our understanding with spiritual realities.

ماں کے پیٹ میں بچے کی سرگرمیاں سائنس کی روشنی میں اور اسلام کی رہنمائی کے ساتھ > نوٹ: یہ مضمون طبی سائنسی معلومات پر مبنی ہے۔ تاہم، اگر کوئی سائنسی نظریہ اسلامی تعلیمات (قرآن و سنت) سے متصادم ہو، تو ایک مسلمان ہونے کے ناطے ہم اسلامی عقیدے کو حتمی اور قابلِ قبول مانتے ہیں

1. بچے کی حرکت طبی لحاظ سے بچے کی حرکت 7 سے 8 ہفتے کے دوران شروع ہو جاتی ہے، لیکن یہ صرف الٹراساؤنڈ کے ذریعے دیکھی جا سکتی ہے۔ ماؤں کو بچے کی حرکت کا احساس عموماً 16 سے 20 ہفتے کے درمیان ہوتا ہے، جسے "Quickening" کہا جاتا ہے۔

2. پانی پینا

3. پیشاب کرنا

18 سے 20 ہفتوں کے درمیان بچہ پیشاب کرنا شروع کرتا ہے، جو امنیوٹک فلوئیڈ میں شامل ہو جاتا ہے۔ بچہ اسی فلوئیڈ کو دوبارہ پیتا ہے — یہ ایک قدرتی چکر ہوتا ہے جو بچے کے اعضا کی مشق و ترقی کے لیے ضروری ہے۔

4. غذا اور فضلہ کی ترسیل

بچہ امنیوٹک پانی سے غذا حاصل نہیں کرتا۔ اصل غذائیت، آکسیجن، اور قوتِ مدافعت ماں کے جسم سے نالی (Placenta) اور نالیِ رحم (Umbilical Cord) کے ذریعے بچے کو پہنچتی ہے۔

5. چہرے کے تاثرات جدید الٹراساؤنڈ کے ذریعے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ بچہ تیسرے سہ ماہی میں باقاعدہ مسکراتا ہے ، منہ بناتا ہے ، جمائی لیتا ہے ، پلکیں چھلکتا ہے ، زبان نکالتا ہے اور انگھوٹا چُوسنے کی حرکت کرتا ہے

6. آواز سننا

18 ہفتوں کے بعد بچے کی سماعت کا نظام فعال ہونا شروع ہو جاتا ہے۔ 25–26 ہفتے میں بچہ آوازوں پر ردعمل دینے لگتا ہے۔ وہ سن سکتا ہے: ماں کی آواز اور دل کی دھڑکن باہر کے شور و موسیقی قرآن کی تلاوت اور دیگر آوازیں

7. اسلامی نقطۂ نظر:

روح پھونکنے کا وقت اسلامی عقیدے کے مطابق، 120 دن (تقریباً 17 ہفتے) کے بعد فرشتہ بچے میں روح پھونکتا ہے — یہی وقت ہوتا ہے جب انسانی زندگی کا روحانی آغاز ہوتا ہے۔

رحمِ مادر میں بچہ محض خاموش وجود نہیں بلکہ ایک سرگرم مخلوق ہے۔ اس کی حرکات، تاثرات، آوازوں پر ردعمل اور دیگر اعمال ایک حیرت انگیز تخلیقی عمل کی نشانیاں ہیں۔ اسلام ہمیں سکھاتا ہے کہ اصل انسانی زندگی کا آغاز روح کے نفخ سے ہوتا ہے — سائنس جسم کی ترقی کو بیان کرتی ہے، اور اسلام انسان کی حقیقت کو مکمل کرتا ہے۔
